Plan for "Canterbury Land District No.512 : Clayton Settlement", offered as "Settlement Lands for lease to discharged soldiers". Applications for the 11,603 acres were to close on 12 March 1917.
Provides details of the land parcels from around the intersection of Clayton and Butlers Roads and eastward, across the North Opuha River, along each side of Settlement Road - most of which is still a paper road - (NB: none of the roads are named on the map). Parcel size, land type, waterways, and surrounding land parcels and owners are noted. Terms, conditions and application instructions appear in text blocks down the left hand side of the plan.
