Object Name Runner, Table
Description Long red velvet table runner with cream and gold chenille yarn embroidery.

The runner is embroidered with four large sprays of flowers using mainly chenille yarn but there is some embroidery cotton used in places to give a finer effect. Around the edge there is hand stitched attached a red cotton heavy lace trim of roses and leaves in a repeating pattern.
The runner is backed with red slub linen which has a casing at one end so it could have been used as a wall hanging with a rod through the casing. This could have been added later as the appears to be another red cotton backing underneath.

There is a repair patch in one place with slightly different coloured velvet and different embroidery cotton.

Construction: Hand embroidered. Machine made lace.
