Object Name Bottle, Apothecary
Description Aqua blue tinted cup base molded glass apothecary bottle for Leonard B. James, Chemist, Timaru.

Bottle has a straight 2.3cm neck with a 5mm high, 2.2cm diameter mouth blown tooled prescription finish lip at the top. Slightly curved shoulder.

Body and base shape is oval with rounded corners, rounded back, and flat paneled slug plate face and sides. Seam runs diagonally across the bottle and up the neck to fade away before the lip but not across the base. The smooth base is indented.

Embossed wording from metal slug plate on one face "Leonard B. James" vertically on a slight upward angle and in cursive letters with a line from the "s" back to the "o", and "Chemist Timaru" vertically in block capital letters. The rest of the body has no wording. Embossed on the base "M" inside a clover shape.
