Object Name Thermos
Description Bright blue aluminium thermos. Sits inside 2001/060.093 Has aluminium tin screw on lid which has "Thermos, registered trade mark" impressed on the top. This opens to reveal cork based inner lid and then the glass interior. Near the top there is a square shaped handle made from thick wire and with a black hand grip, the black handle grip also has a red rubber band running around the center. The handle is attached to the body by two metal lugs which the wire is then shaped around in a rectangle shape allowing the handles if places at 90 degrees to the base to be taken off. The rubber bit may have been to stop the handle banging against the outside case of the thermos. May have been designed to keep the aluminium lid in place as it fits very snuggly over it. On the front of the thermos is a gold colored sticker with "Gold Coin Made in Hong Kong" on oriental type scroll design of gold and maroon. On the base is "Freeezinhot Bottle Co Made in Hong Kong". On the reverse side of the base there is another sticker with a yellow background which has written "The refill of this jar is made of "Heatex", a borosilicate glass of unsurpassed quality in resisting serious ??????al shock and adverse me????aical treatment. It is entirely different from ordinary products.
