Wooden ballot box with two drawers at the bottom, one for white balls (aye) and one for black balls (nay). The bottom drawer for black balls goes right to the back of the ballot box whereas the top drawer for white balls only goes half way back. The wood above the drawers has two holes for dropping the balls through when voting. The back hole for the black balls and the front hole for the white balls. The drawers can be held closed by a small metal latch and the top handle comes out. There are 39 black balls in the bottom drawer and 43 white balls in the top drawer.
The roof of the ballot box curves from the back but a piece at the front is broken away. A curved wooden handle comes away from the bottom of the back of the box.
