New Zealand Long and Efficient Service Medal awarded to Serg. J.Beckingham in 1907 for 16 years service.
Obverse: A picture of a crown (St Edwards Crown or Kings Crown) surrounded by a wreath. There are stars at the top and sides of the crown. Below the crown are the initials N.Z., a ribbon bow and the initials G.T. White.
Reverse: Reads "FOR LONG AND EFFICIENT SERVICE"
The edge of the medal reads "NO.179 SERG. J. BECKINGHAM PORT GUARDS RIFLE VOLS (1907)".
Has metal loop to attach to maroon ribbon and has silver bar with pin at the back to attach to garment. Ribbon and bar were removed from X 630.3 and placed on this medal as the ribbons had been placed on the wrong medals at some stage.
