Small round metal disc called a "Daisy knitter' or "Daisy Wheel". The wheel has a raised knob in the centre which when turned makes thin metal spikes appear. Wool is wound around these and tied off. The spikes are wound back in so that daisy pattern in wool remains and can used as decoration or several sewn together to make something.
