Note with doll "Elizabeth 1932 for my 8?th birthday ( a beautiful previous porcelain doll broke by Nora Suckling in the garage) 9th birthday Elizabeth was my birthday gift. My party held in the children playground Oamaru gardens with a treasure hunt to find gifts. Elizabeth tied in a tree (still in Oamaru Gardens 2000) at reaching height never to be forgotten just one of the lovely adventures our mother planned for us. Elizabeth sat in my bedroom on my [Janets] bookshelf. The black cat Tim knocked her off. Mother sent her to dolls hospital Dunedin for repair. At this time I was in my first year of nursing at Dunedin School of Nursing. " signed by Janet Lauder.
Janet was born November 1925 so would have celebrated her 7 th birthday in 1932
