Object Name Tantalus
Description Small wooden oak tray to hold three bottle which are missing. Tray base has square compartments for three bottles. Sides are shaped at the narrower ends but with the longer sides open so that any bottles would be visible and with a wooden top which can be locked so that bottles would not be able to be removed.

Top has brass handle and sides also secured with brass. Curved wooden locking section slides in groove at the top. Brass lugs also at the base with inscription "SCAAC 1888 virtus omnia wincit" on one plaque, and "Won by P Morrison May 1888 Time 5 Minutes and 5 sec" Plaque at the centre of the base "I Mile Flat Race"
