FRONT has turned down collar with lapels. On upper lapels is a badge with "CYC " and rams head with horns. Centre front opening with 3 large brass "New Zealand Forces" buttons (4th button missing.) The epaulets are closed with a brass "New Zealand Forces" button each side and a metal placket "NZMR" on the outerside each shoulder.

Breast flap pocket each side with pleat in pocket and shaped flap with "New Zealand Forces" button. Inserted waistband. At hip level each side is a large pocket that extends towards the back and with flap with "New Zealand Forces" button.

The sleeves are 2 seam construction. At the hem there are two stripes of braid and rectangular braids section with three cord and embroidered stars. On the left hand side all stars are green while top and bottom stars on the right hand side are a golden khaki.  Suede piping at hem.

BACK: seam at centre back, seam from armholes to hem both sides. At waist brass 2 loops for a belt. Slit open from centre back to hem 32cm.

Front: Round neck with green silk pointed collar. Cream frilled lace attached inside collar to show just about fold.

Centre front opening with 16 hand made eyelets and metal hooks (some missing). 5.5cm wide band of green silk down each front with frill of pleated fawn wool at outer edge. Frill tacked in places at intervals. Band of green silk around hem. Darts at waist.

Underskirt of green silk attached to wool underskirt from about hip level. Silk skirt has a pleated frill attached to hem. At the side of each front is another band of green silk from waist level to 26cm above hemline which has a right angle shape and adorned with a row of 7 buttons covered with green silk and satin.

Back: Centre back seam with two seams either side giving shaping and narrowing at the waist.
Two floating peplum style panels fall from the waist, edged with green silk and decorated with a band of silk and four covered buttons. Skirt back panel, edged with green silk, falls in three folds full length. This is tacked to the sides. Under this fawn panel is a green silk underskirt extending to a train with four rows of frills. There is a loop of fawn material near the hem to hold the skirt up.

Sleeves: Long narrow banana shaped sleeves with fullness at the elbow. Armhole piped in green silk. Cuff has green band of silk and edged with frill of cream muslin.

Lining: Bodice lined with brown polished cotton. Skirt lined with fawn cotton. Edge of train backed with firm cotton. Sleeves lined with fawn cotton. Dress shields under arm.

Construction: Machine and hand sewn. Seam edges hand whipped. Hem bound with tape.
