Title |
J R Bruce's Dominion Flour Mill under construction |
Description |
J R Bruce's Dominion Flour Mill building under construction by the Shillito Bros, probably pictured in 1921. The company's premises was later supplemented by a two-storey biscuit factory built in 1925 adjoining High Street (not pictured). Pictured in the foreground are several professional-looking men. The man second from left may be the owner, J R Bruce, while the donor believes the architect Herbert Hall appears on the far right. In the left background on a gig and on the scaffolding a number of other men, presumably Shillito Bros building crew, also appear. |
