  19. Spoon - A New Zealand centenary souvenir sugar sifting spoon, 1940. The spoon has the Timaru coat of arms at the end of its handle along with the dates '1840 1940'. The spoon's bowl has holes cut into it in a geometric pattern.

The white metal spoon has a colour disc on the end of the handle, predominantly red and black, which has the Timaru coat of arms with surrounded by the words 'Timaru Municipal Band'. The bowl of the spoon is scalloped around the edges. There is a maker's mark for Peak on the reverse of the handle.

The white metal spoon has a colour disc on the end of the handle, predominantly white and brown, which has a central design of a club with 1986 over the top of mountains surrounded by the words 'NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 1985 NZIBF TIMARU'. The bowl of the spoon has the outline of New Zealand on it in relief along with the words 'New Zealand'. The reverse of the handle has a maker's mark for Peak on it.

  23. Spoon - Metal spoon with a mother of pearl handle. The spoon is pointed at the end and the bowl is engraved with a dotted line. The stem of the handle is narrow and has engraved lines where the metal meets the mother of pearl handle. The back of the stem is engraved with illegible initials and "& Co. SP".

The handle is shorter than the bowl and is a flat piece of metal with engravings around the middle. The back of the handle is engraved with "Made in England. EPNS", indicating the spoon is made from silver-plated nickel.

The bottle has octangular sides and is embossed with "this bottle always remains the property of S Kirkpatrick & Co. Ltd., Nelson". The sprinkler head has a cork base that inserts at the neck of the bottle, and aluminium and plastic head with holes for the sprinkler.

  34. Stamp - A stamp for the Common Seal of the Chalmers Church Restoration Trust, 2010s. The stamp consists of a rounded red plastic handle which fits to a square clear plastic base which is fitted with a round rubber plate on a foam backing. The handle can be separated from the base by sliding the two pieces apart. The plate has in relief 'The Common Seal of' surrounded by 'CHALMERS CHURCH RESTORATION TRUST INCORPORATED'. The design of the plate is printed on a piece of paper which can be seen through the clear plastic of the base.

  35. Stamp - Small metal stamp of a map of Timaru, depicting which roads will be closed when Queen Elizabeth II visits, 1954. The stamp reads "Streets blocked to all traffic - pedestrian and vehicles. Cains Terrace, Beswick Street, Station Street and George Street east of Stafford Street."

  36. Stamp - Wooden Strathallan County Council stamp, 1974-1989. The stamp is a rubber oval attached to the bottom of a rectangular block of wood that has been painted red. One side of the block has a black diamond drawn on it and "This Side Up" handwritten in pen. There is a black wooden handle attached in the centre of the block. The stamp reads "The Common Seal of the" in the centre and "Strathallan County Council" around the circumference.

  37. Stereoscope - A Sokkia MS27 stereoscope viewer, accessories, and case, used by Alpine Energy with aerial photographs (2021/106.01), 1990s. The stereoscope consists of a viewer with fold out legs, the binocular attachment, and a parallax bar. The binocular attachmend fits to the viewer along the top. The mirrors on the viewer have white plastic covers that unclip when in use. The stereoscope and accessories fit into case, securing into wooden mounts lined with white felt. The wooden case has a hinged lid which fastens with catches along the front edge. The stereoscope's serial number is 26992, which is printed where the binocular attachment fits and on the front of the box.

  38. Stereoscope - A model L View-Master, circa 1980. The View-master has a red plastic body and the reel motion handle has an orange ball on the end of it. The object is used by inserting a slide reel into a slot in the top and then viewing through the eyepieces. There is a maker's mark on the bottom right corner of the front facing.

  39. Stereoviewer - Viewmaster in original red cardboard box, 1950-1960. The Viewmaster is brown Bakelite plastic with two eyepieces at the front. There is a small white button on the right side of the case that moves the image placed in front of the eyepieces. The front of the case is embossed with "Viewmaster. Made in Belgium by Sawyers Europe, Brussels." There are two windows on the back which allow light to enter the case to view the image. The box is red and white, and the lid reads "Viewmaster, 3 Dimension Viewer". The sides read "3 Dimension Viewer, Model E." The base of the box is cream and bears a black label that depicts pictures that can be used with the Viewmaster. Accompanying the Viewmaster is a roll of images in a blue cardboard sleeve.

  40. Sterilizer - Large chrome sterilizer used for dental equipment, circa 1980. The sterilizer is a rectangular box andreads "Stevenson" at the front. The right side of the box has a black power cord attached. The left and right sides have large black handles that raise the lid when pulled forward. There is a tray inside the santizer with a series of holes in it to hold equipment. An electric element sits below the tray to heat the water. The base of the box has four small black feet and reads "Made by Technident Industries, Petone."

  42. Sticker - Small promotional stamp for Timaru, 1925-1940. The stamp has a white border and a brown background. The image depicts a two women in swimsuits standing and sitting on a beach with blue sky and a seagull in the background. The words "Caroline Bay. Timaru, South Canterbury, New Zealand" are printed beneath the image. The bottom right corner of the white border reads "S. I. T. A. Series A4." The stamp is unused.

  43. Stocking - Pair of fawn coloured nylon surgical compression stockings, circa 1960. The stockings have a seam down the back, and the heel and toes are open. The top of the stockings have three cotton loops at the top to attach them to a belt. The sole of one foot is stamped with "Nylon Lastonet Hose 2, Made in England." The stocking are stored in a box that reads "Lastonet Redg. Surgical Stockings. Manufactured in England by Lastonet Products Limited, Carn Brae Cornwall. Representatives for New Zealand H.L.Bradley & Co NZ Ltd T &G Building Wellington. Size 2 Type - ". Handwritten across the front of the box is also "R/C The Original Pair of --- Complete with belt."

  44. Stole - Dark brown fur stole, circa 1930. The fur is possibly marmot fur. The stole is long and narrow, and has a face, four feet, and three tails attached with the fur. The fur is backed with sage green satin, and has a knot cord tie attached.

  45. Stole - Large stole made of brown fox fur, given to Mervyn Bell in exchange for a pair of shoes when serving in Japan, circa 1945. The stole has a head, legs, feet, and tail attached. The fur has white speckles around the face and the tip of the tail. There is a black clip to fasten the stole under the nose which has with "I C Bell" engraved in it. The two legs which face the front of the stole have tassels attached which have domes on the end to fasten together.

  46. Stole - Black ostrich feather stole. The feathers have been dyed black and stitched onto cotton and then backed with dark blue silk. A small fabric rosette is attached to the lining at one end. The stole fastens at the front with a tassel with two satin covered balls at the end and a metal hook, or with two black satin ribbons so the tassel hangs free.

  49. Stopper, Bottle - Thick clear glass bottle stopper for a perfume bottle. The top of the stopper has a glass cut face oval as a handle. The plug is opaque glass and tapers off toward the end.

  50. Stopper, Bottle - Thick green glass bottle stopper with flat top and tapering plug. There is a ridge on each side of the stopper where the glss was joined, and the point of the plug was sheared off roughly when made. There are air bubbles inside the glass.
