Brownie Uniform Pinafore/Skirt 1980s Pinafore comprises of a 4 gored skirt with shoulder straps, crossed at the back and a bar strap across the chest. Fabric: Tan brown polyester cotton. Front: 50cm wide shoulder straps with bar strap across the chest. There are 11 cloth achievment badges and one metal badge attached to the straps. And a "9th South Canterbury" tag. Strap buttons are brown with a figure of a kelpie (or elf?) on them. Shirt has a waistband with two buttonholes for strap buttons. A brown plastic zip in on the right hand side and a plain brown button and buttonhole in the waistband.The skirt has two flared gores. There are two patch pockets on the front at hip level. Back: Shoulder straps cross over and button into waist band with kelpie buttons and machined buttonholes in the band. As the front the skirt has two flared gores. The centre back seam has been taken in to fit. Construction: Machine sewn. Seam edges and hems overlocked. Hem hand stitched. Name tag: Centre back - "Philippa Jamieson" |
