   David Lange at the unveiling of a statue to Tommy Solomon, the last Moriori. The memorial ceremony was organised by Tommy Solomon's grandson Maui Solomon (right), in acknowledgement of the people who lived on the Chathams for a thousand years, and was attended by the largest gatherine ever seen on the island, dated 1988. A television programme called 'Revival of the Moriori screened on Good Friday April 1 1988.
