Description |
A photograph album owned by Percy Lamb of the Caroline Bay Association (CBA), with images from the 1920s to 1930s. Contains various Bay scenes showing people bathing, relaxing, at amusements and some of the bay's buildings. A black covered album with 'prints mounted on black paper pages. CBA ribbons for President 1929-30, Committee 1929-30, Treasurer 1929-30, volunteer helper 1929-30 and a secretary ribbon for 1927 to 1932 are taped inside the front cover and near the end of the pages used. Includes images of subjects such as the rotunda, Palliser fountain, piazza, bay hall, tennis courts and pavilion, people relaxing on the beach, amusement rides, mini-golf course, general people scenes, car park and more. The recto of the thirteenth leaf has a photograph of a group of people with a faint ink note on the page below it that reads "the 1st helpers picnic" and the photographers name (Havelock Williams) is imprinted into the lower right corner. |
