Description |
Accordion and case, used by John Henry Mitchell of Studholme, circa 1900s. The accordion is a diatonic button accordion with a set of buttons on either side of the bellows. The accordion is predominantly black with chromed metal fittings while the interior surfaces of the bellows are white decorated with a star pattern. The accordion was made by International Accordion in Saxony, Germany. The box is made of wood with a hinged lid fastened via hooks and eyes on the front facing. The exterior of the box is painted black while the interior is red. |
