Men's black wool dress suit, worn by Timaru Town Clerk James Anderson Goodwin at function aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia, March 1979. The suit jacket has a narrow collar and fastens at the waist with one black plastic button. There is a pocket at the left and right hip and a breast pocket on the left side. The sleeves are long and fasten at the cuff with three buttons. The label reads "Ambassador. Master Crafted in New Zealand by Canterbury. Pure Virgin Wool". The trousers fasten at the waistband with two metal hooks and a black plastic zip. There is a pocket at each at the left and right hip. |
